2. Hosting

This site is hosted by 1&1 Internet SE (Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany). Technical connection data (IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL) is processed in server logs. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in stable, secure operation. Server logs are anonymized or deleted after a maximum of 14 days.

3. Cookies and local storage

We only use the following cookies / localStorage entries:

  • Necessary: nk_cookie_consent_v1 (localStorage) — stores your cookie choice so the banner doesn't reappear. No tracking.
  • Analytics (opt-in): _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization (see Section 4). Only set if you consent in the banner.

4. Google Analytics 4 (consent required)

Upon consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) with measurement ID G-DP68Q2CDBD. IP anonymization (anonymize_ip: true) is enabled — full IP addresses are not stored.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer — existing GA cookies are then deleted.

Google may also process data in the US. An EU Commission adequacy decision exists (EU-US Data Privacy Framework). More info: Google Privacy Policy.

5. External content

  • Google Fonts (Inter): The font is loaded from fonts.googleapis.com. Your IP is transmitted to Google on load. Legal basis: legitimate interest in consistent typography (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A self-hosted variant is planned.
  • Affiliate links: Individual articles link to Amazon, itch.io, and others. Tracking cookies from those providers are only set after you click — see the respective privacy policies.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
